Requirements, known behaviour and a human to write to.
- Which browsers can play the Speaker Setup Simulator?
- Any current Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari (15.2+) on desktop or mobile. The game is a threaded WebAssembly build, so it needs a browser that supports SharedArrayBuffer -- this site serves it with the cross-origin isolation headers that unlock it. Private/incognito modes and some corporate proxies strip those headers; if the game reports a missing feature, try a normal window.
- How big is the download?
- About 165 MB on first load (a 37 MB engine and a 127 MB content pack). Your browser caches it for an hour, and a second visit in that window starts in seconds. Nothing is installed.
- The instructor says the same things every time. Is the AI broken?
- Not broken -- asleep or absent. Live instructor commentary comes from an optional hosted service that is not always available. When it is not, the game uses its static lesson text. Scoring never depends on it.
- It runs in a tall portrait box on my wide monitor.
- By design. The game is authored at 1080 × 1920 for phones and letterboxes on desktop. Use the fullscreen button in the play HUD for the largest view.
- The in-game 'unlock' did not charge me anything.
- Correct. In-app purchases in the current build are simulated -- there is no payment integration and nothing on this site sells anything. If that ever changes, the title page will say so before the game does.
- Where else can I play it?
- The same build is mirrored at madcoolstuff.net/speaker-setup. An Android APK is produced by CI but is not on any store.
