MadCoolQuest
Turn any outing into a legend.
About
MadCoolQuest turns a group outing into a saga. The Quest Master draws a polygon round the venue and forges a quest in chapters, or writes one sentence about the day and lets the Oracle write it, placed at the real places inside the realm. Friends scan a code, pick a sigil, a calling and a house, and the map is fog until they walk it. The first chapter is a race to mark the landmarks: the first hero to stand at the tavern, the latrines or the main stage puts a carved signpost on everyone's map, others witness it, and the Wayfinder shows those signposts floating in the camera with their distance. Then the day fills up: snapshots the Bard captions, recon that records menus and prices, bounties anyone can post ("bring me a mead") where friends order from the scouted prices and the deliverer is owed exactly, rallies at a place and time, and beasts that wait at their lairs to be fought in the camera with traced runes and timed parries — and a wyrm that wakes at the final muster for everyone at once. The Reckoning works out the fewest payments that settle every debt. When the quest ends, the Chronicle writes the day as an illustrated storybook with titles and honours, and builds a collage, an MP4 slideshow with a lute score, and a zip of every original, all on the phone.

AI & content disclosure
- ▸The code was written with Claude (Anthropic).
- ▸The Oracle, the Bard and the Chronicler use Claude to write quest text, one-line captions for photos players take, and the end-of-day epilogue. A built-in engine writes all three when they are off or unreachable.
- ▸All art (heraldry, creatures, signposts, icons) is drawn in code; all sound and music are synthesized in the browser. The map shows OpenStreetMap data via OpenFreeMap.
- ▸Photos stay private to the fellowship behind a per-quest key. Nothing is for sale; the game never moves money.
